Generate link: share your clients' SEO progress without giving them access to your dashboard
RankuTracker's new 'Generate link' feature creates a live, plain-language public report so your clients can see their SEO progress with no login and no manual PDFs.

If you manage local SEO for a client — whether you're an agency, a freelancer, or the business owner reporting to a partner — the same question always comes up eventually: "So what does this actually mean? How's my business doing?" The usual answer is exporting a PDF once a month, or worse, giving your client a login to your own RankuTracker dashboard where they get lost between RankMap tabs, NAP scores, and credit balances that mean nothing to them.
Neither option is good. The PDF is stale the moment you send it. And full dashboard access exposes data and controls your client doesn't need and won't understand.
Generate link fixes this: a public, read-only link, no password required, that shows a business's real progress in language any business owner understands on the first read.
How it works
From each business's page in your RankuTracker dashboard there's a button: Generate link. One click gives you a URL ready to paste into an email or a text message:
rankutracker.com/en/report/{token}
Whoever opens it doesn't need an account, a password, or any idea what RankuTracker is. They land directly on a report with plain-language tabs, no SEO jargon:
- Website speed — how fast their site loads on mobile and desktop.
- Pages Google knows about you — which pages of their site Google has indexed.
- Your ranking on Google — where they rank for the keywords that matter to them, and how that's trending.
- Visibility on Google Maps — their coverage percentage and average rank across the map.
- Consistency of your info online — whether their name, address and phone match across the directories they're listed in.
- Do ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity recommend you? — whether AI assistants recommend them when someone asks about their industry and city.
- Does Google's AI cite you? — whether they get cited when Google answers with AI instead of the usual results list.
- Google reviews — their average rating, review count, and up to 10 real Google reviews.
No "Map Pack," "NAP," or "AI Overview" anywhere in the report: every tab has a title a business owner understands without you having to explain it.
Real data, not a snapshot from last month
Unlike a PDF, the link isn't a frozen snapshot: every time someone opens it, it's recalculated from the most recent data RankuTracker has for that business. If you just moved up three positions this week or closed a NAP inconsistency, your client sees it reflected without you generating or sending anything new.
And you'll know if they've actually looked at it: the business's page in your dashboard shows whether the link is still "Not opened" or has already been "Viewed N times," with the date of the last view. Handy before a check-in call, so you know whether your client has already seen the numbers or you need to walk them through it from scratch.
You stay in control
The link is yours, not the recipient's:
- Revoke it any time with the "Revoke" button — useful if it ends up in the wrong hands, or the engagement with that client simply ends.
- It expires on its own after 30 days. After that it stops working automatically — you don't have to remember to revoke it.
- One active link per business. Click "Generate link" again while the previous one is still valid and you get the same URL back — no scattered links you lose track of.
- What your client sees is only what you chose to put in that report: for example, if you used Ranku Copilot to draft a reply to a negative review, that draft is yours and never shows up in the public link — your client sees the review, not your internal work on it.
When to use it
Onboarding a new client. Instead of explaining on a call what you're going to track, send the link on day one and let them see their starting point with their own eyes.
Frictionless monthly reporting. Replace the PDF you used to build by hand with the same link every time — since the data updates itself, there's nothing to regenerate each month.
If you work through RankuTracker's freelancer marketplace, the public link is the fastest way for a prospective client to see what's happening with their business before they even hire you, and for a current client to verify the work is actually happening instead of just taking your word for it.
Justifying a renewal or a price increase. A link showing months of ranking, map, and review progress makes the case on its own — no convincing required.
